ceph-fs-common software package provides common utilities to mount and interact with a ceph filesystem, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ceph-fs-common
ceph-fs-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ceph-fs-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ceph-fs-common *
You will get with ceph-fs-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
